Qualifications in Japan
Clinical Psychologist(18652)
Certified Public Psychologist(15737)
【Professional Background】
Completed a Master's program at Meiji Gakuin University (specializing in Clinical Psychology). During this time, completed clinical training as a special auditor at the Department of Psychiatry, Jichi Medical University School of Medicine.
Worked for 16 years as a full-time psychologist at medical institutions in Tochigi Prefecture, including general hospitals and psychosomatic medicine clinics, conducting psychological assessments and providing psychotherapy for individuals ranging from children to adults. At the general hospital, I was involved in work across various departments including Psychiatry, Pediatrics, various Medical Departments, and the Cancer Palliative Care Team. I also served as a part-time lecturer at clinical psychology graduate schools both within and outside the prefecture, guiding hospital internships. Currently, I serve as an external member of the Ethics Committee at a general hospital within the prefecture.
In school education, I have experience as a part-time school counselor at high schools and vocational schools, and as a part-time lecturer (psychology) at a nursing vocational school.
Since my graduate school days, I have been involved in psychological support activities within communities of foreign residents in Spanish-speaking countries (Gunma Prefecture, Saitama Prefecture). Currently, I am involved with a support group in Saitama Prefecture. While I am not fluent in foreign languages myself, I have several connections with support providers and organizations, primarily through the network of the Multicultural Psychiatry Association.
【Training Background】
During my student years, I underwent educational analysis by a Jungian clinical psychologist. Since completing graduate school and continuing to the present, I have pursued counseling and psychotherapy training through individual supervision with psychoanalytic psychotherapists and group supervision with psychoanalysts. I have deepened my theoretical knowledge through systematic lectures such as the Fundamentals of Psychoanalysis Course, the Kodera Clinical Reading Seminar, and the Sapochiru Reading Seminar. From 2020 to 2023, I attended and completed the Sapochiru Kanto Infant Observation Seminar Group. I also continue to deepen my skills in psychological assessment and psychotherapy through participation in academic conferences, professional associations, and study groups/training sessions organized by volunteer mental health professionals within and outside the prefecture.
